It’s a place where residents can find new paths to personal growth while fostering the kinds of relationships that build a strong and vibrant community.
Programs and activities aimed at expanding cultural, employment and educational horizons are available to all residents. Among them: Child Care, Head Start, after-school tutoring, employment assistance, community meals and recreational activities.
Encouraging positive social and intellectual development in our young people is a top priority. Bringing down barriers to employment and education for adults allows families to realize their fullest potential and seek the quality of life they deserve.
Computer labs provide access to cutting-edge technology and the information superhighway. The installation of a state-of-the-art computer center is the culmination of several years of effort on the part of Carmen Porco and CPDS. The purchase of the hardware for labs, which serve as a training and education site for the residents and the surrounding community, were made possible through the cooperation of a number of partners. Residents and the on-site coordinators (who are also residents) facilitate the use of the labs.
